I'm sorry guys for not doing a review last week, but I wasn't feeling too well. I'm better now, and this review is on my second favorite movie, Secondhand Lions. The film is about Walter, played by Haley Joel Osment who was in movies like The Sixth Sense and Pay it Forward, who has to stay with his two Uncles because his mother is going to school. Walter's Uncles are Garth, played by Michael Caine who was in the Dark Knight Trilogy, and Hub, played by Robert Duvall who was in The Godfather and John Q.
Now Garth and Hub want Walter living with them as much as Walter wants to be there. They get along alright when Walter first arrives, but they grow to really enjoy each other's company. Walter's mom, played by Kyra Sedgwick who was in the TV series The Closer, tells Walter that Garth and Hub have millions of dollars stowed away somewhere. Walter doesn't think anything of it until salespeople show up every day to try to sell them items. Here is what they do to those salesmen.
I really like this film for a few reasons. The first is that the acting for such a small film is excellent; all the actors do the comedy very well, but when they have the dramatic moments that is when you truly see how excellent they really are. The second is that it is a fun film for everyone in your family. I believe anyone can watch this movie and have a great time doing so. Lastly, even though it is a small film it is as good as the big budget films out there. I believe this clip explains what I mean.
In the end, Secondhand Lions is a great film, and my rating is; everyone should see this film as soon as possible because it will give you values everyone should have. I haven't said this in a while, but if there is anything you want me to review let me know.
