I saw Ready Player One recently, and this movie was awesome! I had so much fun with this film, and everyone needs to experience this movie. It is about the future where a man created a virtual reality world that is one big video game. Pretty much anything you can think of doing you can do in this world known as the Oasis. When this creator died though he left these keys behind in the Oasis, and you have to complete challenges to get each key, and when you collect all the keys you become the owner of the Oasis.
This film is just every movie watcher and video game player's dream come true. It combines genres into one epic adventure that needs to be seen on the biggest screen possible. Throughout the movie there are so many easter eggs from past movies and video games that you will probably have to see a bunch of times to find them all. The acting is well done, and like most of his films Spielberg did an incredible job directing. The effects are mind blowing, and I can't praise this movie enough. In the end, I think everyone should see Ready Player One as soon as you can in the theater. It is worth whatever price you pay.

Pacific Rim: Uprising
I saw Pacific Rim: Uprising, and even though it isn't as good as the first I still liked it. It is about Idris Elba's character's son taking over the program he started, and train the next generation of Jaeger Pilots to defend what comes next. If you are like me, and you went to see the first one to watch fights between big robots and big monsters then this has plenty of that to let you have a fun time.
This movie isn't great, but the action is good enough that you can turn your brain off for about two hours, and just watch some really cool fight scenes. John Boyega's character is interesting, and I wasn't expecting him to be the way he is, but I liked it. The other character they focus on who I liked was one of the new recruits Amara Namani. She has a past that isn't pleasant, but she is strong willed, and I was actually rutting for her.
Even though this was Steven S. DeKnight's first motion picture I think he did a descent job with such a big film. I also thought he did a good job with the action because I enjoyed all the fight scenes, and thought the effects looked really good. In the end, Pacific Rim: Uprising is a descent sequel that I think most fans of the original can have an enjoyable time with. I think it should be seen, but if you don't you aren't missing anything; if you do see it tough it should be seen in theaters because the action is better on a big screen.

Tomb Raider
I saw Tomb Raider a couple of weeks ago, and I had a good time with this movie. I think this is a step in a very right direction for video game movies. It wasn't perfect by any respect, but compared to past video game movies it definitely improves the odds.
The film is the origin story of Laura Croft, and how she begins her journey of collecting artifacts and saving the world from people who want to use those artifacts against the world. I think Alicia Vikander did a great job as Croft, and I actually like her version a little more than Angelina Jolie's version; even though they play two very different versions of the character. The action and special effects were pretty cool as well, and I think you can have a lot of fun with this film if you are looking for a fun movie to see.
There was one thing they did that I think they didn't really need to do; I didn't see it coming, but I don't think it was necessary for the story. It pertains to a character, and they show up about in the middle of the movie. They did nothing really, and if they left this person out I think we would still have the same film. Other than that I had a fun time with Tomb Raider, and in the end I think you should see it if you get a chance. It doesn't have to be in the theater, but I think you should still see it.
