I saw Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle a couple of weeks ago, and I had so much fun with this film. Compared to the original Jumanji they both have their good points, but you just can't beat Robin Williams.
This time around instead of the game coming into our world the high school kids are sucked into the game; we kind of see what Alan Parrish went through in the first film. I liked all the acting by the avatars that are chosen, but by far Dwayne Johnson and Jack Black were hilarious! They made me laugh so much, and made the film so much better than what it could've been.
The effects are definitely better this time around, but that isn't anything mind blowing this day and age. I highly recommend this film even if you didn't like the first because it is different enough that I think everyone can have a great time with this movie. I would say this really isn't for kids though because they make some really crude jokes that are funny, but a little kid will not understand. I will say they got the rating correct on this one.
Other than that I think everyone should see this at some point because it enhances the original while also telling its own story. In the end, I think Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is well worth your money, and I think you will have an awesome time.
