Star Wars The Force Awakens

I saw Star Wars The Force Awakens today, and to just put it plainly, go see this movie right now, or as soon as you possibly can! It was incredible, and it is just as good as the originals! Put it this way, I had a person sitting next to me who absolutely hates the prequels, and loved everything about this film.

Star Wars The Force Awakens was amazing, and if you like anything Star Wars you need to see this film! That is all!

Creed

On Tuesday I saw the film Creed, and all I have to say is awesome! It was a great addition to the Rocky franchise, but it is also a great standalone film. If you have not seen any Rocky film, and you just saw this movie you would be just fine. You wouldn't be lost, and you would have a great time.

Also, I just have to say that Michael B. Jordan and Sylvester Stallone do an incredible job. Jordan has a very bright career ahead of him, and Stallone is back with a vengeance. In the end, I think everyone should see this film as soon as they can. You will leave the theatre with a big smile on your face with how good this film truly is.

Spotlight

This weekend I saw the film Spotlight, and all I have to say is wow. Everything about this film was done right, and it deserves all the praise it can get. This movie won't be for everyone because you may not be able top handle it. I made it through, but this hit home for me, and it was difficult. The story surprised me, and I couldn't believe it was true.

I am glad this film was made, and I think everyone should see this at some point in their lives. Not just because it is an excellent film, but because everyone should know this story. I knew very little about this, but I'm glad I know more. You won't leave this movie happy, but you will leave pleased that you know what happened.

The Peanuts Movie

Last weekend I saw The Peanuts Movie, and I absolutely loved it! This is a movie that is a film everyone at any age can enjoy. It is a great way for the people, like me, who grew up on Charlie Brown to revisit the joy these characters bring, and it is a perfect way to introduce the new generation of kids to these wonderful characters.

In the end I think everyone should see this film when they can. The only reason you shouldn't see this film is if you never liked Charlie Brown. I hope that isn't the case though. You will leave this movie having a smile on your face.

Back to the Future Trilogy

This past weekend I rewatched the Back to the Future Trilogy, and all I have to say about these films is that they are fantastic films. Of course there are flaws in them because they are about time travel, but I absolutely love all three of them.

If you watch the first you have to watch the other two because they are all connected, and they form one complete story that will stay in your head forever. The story is very interesting in all three, and what makes them probably three of the best films in history are the characters. Marty McFly and Doc Brown are two characters that I love, and generations of people will love.

I wasn't even born yet when these films came out, and that just shows how good they are, and how long they will stand the test of time. Everyone needs to see these films, and they are perfect for pretty much all ages. The Back to the Future Trilogy are films that will no one will ever get tired of, and will continue to watch for many years. If you haven't seen these films yet go out, buy the DVD or Blu Ray, and experience the amazing ride.

The Last Witch Hunter

This Past Weekend I saw The Last Witch Hunter, and I had fun with it. Is it a great film? No it is not, but it is enjoyable. I would watch it again, but that is me, and I like supernatural entertainment like this.

If you like things about witches, monsters, or anything out of this world, and you don't mind Vin Diesel, you can find this appealing. You won't regret seeing it in the theatres, but if you didn't you wouldn't be missing anything seeing it when it comes out on Blu Ray. In the end, I enjoyed the film, but I have seen better movies in this genre out there.

The Walk

The Walk is a movie I think everyone should see at least once. Not just for the interesting story, or the acting, but to see the beauty of the Twin Towers. Not only does this film tell a true story that I couldn't believe actually happened, but you get to experience the wonder of the World Trade Center one last time.

The film isn't perfect, but it is still really well done. The acting is fine, and even though you can tell Joseph Gordon-Levitt's accent is fake it doesn't take you out of the film, at least it didn't for me. The one thing I do have to say is that if you are terrified of heights you may not want to watch this movie. If you can overcome it I strongly suggest you go see The Walk. It is a film that you will have a great time with, and it is a beautiful homage to the Twin Towers.

Goosebumps

When I went to go see Goosebumps I was expecting it to be for kids, but I thought I would be able to have fun with it. That is exactly what I experienced when I saw this film. This movie is definitely a kid's movie, but I think everyone can have fun with it.

Goosebumps is a fun Halloween film that everyone can enjoy. As long as you can bare some cheesy special effects, and one annoying character, you can have a good time. The character I'm referring to is the Aunt, and she is a little annoying, but she isn't on screen for too long so I didn't mind too much. I say if you are looking for a movie to get you in the Halloween mood this is it.

The Intern

I saw The Intern with my family when they came to visit, and it was an okay movie. It is about a 70 year old man, who is retired, decides to become an intern for an Internet business. The movie was fine, but you don't have to rush out to see it.

The Intern is a movie you see on a date, or with your family when you are teenagers or older. You will have a good time if you go see it, but you aren't missing anything spectacular.

The Martian

The Martian is a film that is pure perfection. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this film, and Ridley Scott has done it again. I will be very surprised, and annoyed if this doesn't get Oscar Nominations. I know there are films coming out that will be just as good, but this is an example of a film I would love to make one day.

Everything is done extremely well, and everyone needs to see this film as soon as you can. I promise you it will not disappoint. You will leave the theatre feeling amazed, and happy you experienced this movie.

Sicario

I'm sorry for not doing one of these in a while, but here we go; also, I'm going to keep these a lot shorter. Sicario is a very dark film, but a fantastic one at that. The one thing I really liked about this film is that they didn't use music so much, and it added to the suspense. It kept you on the edge of your seat the whole time.

This isn't for kids, but if you can handle the grittiness, and there is a lot of it, then you should see this movie as soon as you can. Told you I was going to keep this short. I found no flaws with the film, except you won't leave happy.

NYPD Blue

This week I thought I would review a great cop show that was on air for 12 years. The series I am referring to is NYPD Blue. I couldn't find a trailer since the show is over twenty years old, but we will go without. It is about New York Police Detectives in Manhattan solving cases. I know that sounds ordinary, but this is a really good series. The acting is well done, and the stories they tell are very interesting that it keeps you hooked.

The show had a lot of actors over the years, but the well-known ones are: Dennis Franz, was in Die Hard 2 and City of Angels, Gordon Clapp, was in Flags of our Fathers and Taking Chance, James McDaniel, was in Malcolm X and Edge of America, Bill Brochtrup, was in Ravenous and Life as we Know It, Kim Delaney, was in Body Parts and Mission to Mars, Nicholas Turturro, was in The Longest Yard and the TV series Blue Bloods, Henry Simmons, is in the TV series Agents of Shield, Jimmy Smits, was in Mother and Child and Backyard, and finally Mark-Paul Gosselaar, was in the series Saved by the Bell and Franklin & Bash.

In the end, if you like cop shows this is by far one of the best there is. It has great acting, stories that you are interested in, and characters that will have you wanting more. You will be hooked by the first episode, and won't be able to stop. My rating is you should see this as soon as you can.

Furious Seven

I know this review is late, but after reviewing the other films one after the other I decided to take a break. I'm referring to the Fast and Furious films, and to this week's review of Furious Seven. With this being Paul Walker's last film they did him and the franchise justice. You are probably all wondering about the digital face aspect, and let me tell you that they did an amazing job. There are times you can tell, but it is very rare, and by the end I was asking myself how much of the movie he actually filmed. They retired Walker's character very well, but because of the way they did it I think this should be the last film. If they make another one I will definitely watch it, but I don't think they should. This one is finally a sequel to the third film, and if you watch the franchise you will understand.

In Furious Seven, Dom and his family are being hunted by Deckard Shaw, the brother of Owen Shaw. They have to pull together, and make sure Shaw doesn't hurt anyone else of their family. I really liked this film, and if you want a really good action film this is it. The one thing you have to keep in mind though this time around is what actually is possible in the human world. What I mean is that in the other films you had to put this in the back of your mind, but it isn't as bad as in this one. Like they do this one thing that is just not possible and you can't help but laugh. As long as you can get past that you will have an awesome time with it.

In the end, Furious Seven is a great installment to the franchise with an honorable send off to Paul Walker. The acting is good, the special effects are well done, and the action is breathtaking. If you have enjoyed the other films you will most certainly enjoy this one. My rating is that you should see this as soon as you can if you like the others, or you want to see Paul Walker's last great film. 

Furious 6

I know the seventh film is released today, but I have to review the sixth film first. This review is on the sixth Fast and Furious film known as Furious 6. This time around Luke Hobbs hires Dom, Brian, and their crew to take down a team of mercenaries who use cars to pull off their heists. Since the fifth film raised the bar the sixth one keeps that same energy going. It has great action and awesome effects. If you liked the others you will like this one.

Furious 6 is a really fun action film that kept the energy from Fast Five. If you are a fan of the franchise this film won't disappoint you, and if you aren't then that is okay. These films are for the fans, and they get better each time. After this one I'm excited to see Furious 7 when I can. In the end, my rating is that you should see this film if you like the series. Ride or die.

Fast Five

I'm reviewing this film because the new one comes out this Friday, so I thought I would review the last two films before that occurs. The film I'm referring to is Fast Five, the fifth installment in the Fast and Furious franchise. Even though all of them are great this movie just took the series to a whole new level. After the events of the last one Brian, Mia, and Dom are on the run, and they end up in Brazil. While there they decide to buy their freedom buy pulling off a major heist. With trying to do that they now have new character Luke Hobbs after them who is CIA. Even though this is a sequel to the fourth movie it is still a prequel to the third. If you watch you will understand.

Fast Five is an awesome action movie with great acting, cool effects, and superb car scenes. If you liked the others you will enjoy this film. If you didn't I would say you will definitely like this one because they just take it to another level. My rating is that no matter what you thought of the previous four you need to see this as soon as you can. It is a great movie that you will have a lot of fun with.

Fast & Furious

This week I'll be reviewing the fourth Fast and Furious movie known as, Fast & Furious. In this one we have the old gang back together again from the first film. You have Dom, Brian, Letty, and Mia. Even though this film is the fourth in the franchise it is a prequel to the third film. If you watch the films you will find out why. The story this time is that Brian is working for the FBI, and he teams up with Dom to take down a heroin importer who no one knows what he looks like.

If you like the previous film you will like this one. It has great acting, and awesome effects. The car scenes are just as incredible as the previous, and you are hooked from start to finish. If you didn't like the others then you shouldn't watch this, but before the fifth film I thought this was just really cool. It is a fun action film that you can get lost in.

In the end, Fast & Furious is a really fun action movie that adds another great part to this really exciting franchise. The characters you love from the first film are back, and you can't be happier. As I mentioned earlier, if you liked the previous films you will enjoy this one very much. If you didn't like the others then don't even bother with this. My rating is that you should see this if you have seen the others, and you have liked the others.

NCIS

For this week I'm going to review a series that has been on, and is still on for a very long time. It has led to two spin offs, which are equally as good. The show is NCIS, or Naval Criminal Investigative Service. I couldn't find a trailer this time, so the link is to their IMDB page. I'm sorry about that. NCIS is about a Government agency that solves cases that has anything to do with the Navy. The show focuses on one team, and their leader is Leroy Jethro Gibbs. This show is a lot of fun. It has a great mixture of action, drama, and comedy. It keeps you hooked from the very first episode until you are caught up.

The series stars: Mark Harmon, who was in the TV series Chicago Hope and the film Freaky Friday, Michael Weatherly, who was in the TV series Dark Angel and the film The Hitman Diaries: Charlie Valentine, Pauley Perrette, who was in the films Almost Famous and The Ring, David McCallum, who was in shows The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and The Replacements, Sean Murray, who was in the films Hocus Pocus and This Boy's Life, and Brian Dietzen, who was in the films Nowhere to Hide and Congratulations.

NCIS is a show that will keep you entertained for hours, and you will never get bored with it. If you like great crime shows, then this is the show for you. It has everything you want in a series, and more. My rating is that you should see NCIS as soon as you can because you will be glad you did. In the end, the series is really good with great acting, good drama, and cool action. Have you guys seen NCIS, and if so what did you think of it?

Hours

In this review I'm going to honor the late great actor Paul Walker by reviewing the film Hours. A lot of people were affected by his death because he was way too young, and he has provided entertainment for all of us. I've been doing the Fast and Furious Franchise, but this film is all about Walker, and it truly shows what an incredible actor he was. Hours is about a father who tries to keep his daughter, who was just born, alive during Hurricane Katrina.

This film does have other people in it, but it is all about Paul Walker. If you ever thought he couldn't act, or you never liked him in the Fast and Furious franchise you will be blown away by what he does in this movie. You watch this film for two reasons, and they are for the story and for Walker's acting. He gives such a powerful performance that you are sucked in immediately. The film also stars Genesis Rodriguez, who was in the films Big Hero 6 and Man on a Ledge. She does a great job, but as I said earlier this is all about Walker.

In the end, Hours is a really great film that will have you on the edge of your seat the entire time. Walker gives a performance that is just incredible. It shows what a great actor he was, and what this world has truly lost. My rating is that everyone should see this as soon as you can. It is a movie that will have thinking about how far you would go for the ones you love. Would you have the strength and will that this father did? I know I asked myself that question, and I'm still wondering. Hours will change your outlook on life, and you won't be disappointed.

Supernatural

For this review I'm reviewing Warner Bros. longest running series called Supernatural. The show is about Dean and Sam Winchester who follow in their father's footsteps and hunt supernatural beings. These beings include monsters, demons, and gods who roam the earth. This show is really good, and if you like fantasy/sci-fi you will enjoy Supernatural. Everything is done very well, and I have no complaints about the series. It has great acting, writing, and special effects.

The show stars: Jared Padalecki, who was in the TV show Gilmore Girls, Jensen Ackles, who has been in films like Ten Inch Hero and Batman: Under the Red Hood, Misha Collins, who has been in films like Finding Home and Karla, Jim Beaver, who has been in films like Adaptation and Next, and Mark Sheppard, who has been in series like Warehouse 13 and Leverage.

In the end, Supernatural is a really fun time with great acting and awesome special effects. If you like things that won't happen ever then you will love this. Even though it is on the CW doesn't mean it is for younger kids. It has a lot of blood, and as long as you can handle that you will have fun with it. My rating is that any fantasy/sci-fi fan should see the series as soon as possible. You will not be disappointed.

Hector and the Search for Happiness

This weekend I saw a film that is a good film with a great message. The film was Hector and the Search for Happiness. I know it is a very strange title to a film, but it is a good film that will make you think. The film is about a psychiatrist going around the world exploring to see what makes people happy. The film isn't spectacular, and the ending is an ending you expect, but it is still worth seeing.

The film stars: Simon Pegg, who has been in films like Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, Rosamund Pike, who has been in films like Die Another Day and Gone Girl, Jean Reno, who has been in films like Ronin and The Da Vinci Code, Christopher Plummer, who has been in films like A Beautiful Mind and Up, Stellan Skarsgard, who has been in films like Good Will Hunting and Thor, and Toni Collette, who has been in films like The Way Way Back and A Long Way Down.

In the end, this film is really enjoyable, and it has a great message that everyone can relate to. My rating is you should see this if you are looking for a good time. It will make you look at your life, and truly ask yourself if you are happy. It did for me, and it will do it for anyone who sees this film.

Prison Break

This review is very special because today marks my one year anniversary. I have been doing this for a year, and that is just really cool for me. For this review I will be doing a series that is just incredible; it is called Prison Break. The series is about how a man gets set up for murder, and is sent to death row. In order to save him his brother gets arrested so he can break his brother out.

When I first started this series I didn't know what to expect, but I was hooked from the very first episode. I couldn't stop watching, and it just kept getting better and better. I have seen films about breaking out of prison, but this show just takes it to another level. In some series they have episodes that have nothing to do with the final plot, but in the series every episode is important, and you have to watch every single one in order not to miss something.

The show stars: Dominic Purcell, who has been in films like Mission Impossible II and Equilibrium, Wentworth Miller, who has been in films like The Human Stain and Underworld, Amaury Nolasco, who has been in films like Armored and 2 Fast 2 Furious, Robert Knepper, who has been in films like Hitman and Transporter 3, Sarah Wayne Callies, who was in the series The Walking Dead, Wade Williams, who has been in films like Collateral and The Dark Knight Rises, and William Fichtner, who has been in films like Black Hawk Down and The Dark Knight.

Prison Break is an amazing show with an awesome story and great acting. It will keep you guessing in every episode, and it will keep you on the edge of your seat. Once you start you won't be able to stop until you finish the entire series. In the end, my rating is that you should see this as soon as you can. It is a really good show, and everyone can have fun with this series.

The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift

For this review I thought I would continue the Fast and Furious Franchise with The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift. This is the third film in the franchise, and they keep to the same style as the other two but this time they drift race. To have an idea of what drifting is here is a quick video. The film is about High School student Sean Boswell who moves in with his father in Tokyo to avoid jail. While there he becomes involved in drift racing, and gets in trouble with very bad people.

I like all of the Fast and Furious films, but this one was interesting because it didn't do the normal kind of racing like the other two did. It shows a different way to race, and a more dangerous way in my opinion. The film stars: Lucas Black, who is currently in the TV series NCIS: New Orleans, Nathalie Kelley, who has been in films like Take Me Home Tonight and Loaded, Shad Moss, who has been in films like Roll Bounce and Lottery Ticket, Leonardo Nam, who has been in films like The Perfect Score and Vantage Point, Brian Tee, who has been in films like We Were Soldiers and The Wolverine, and Sung Kang, who has been in films like Live Free or Die Hard and Bullet to the Head.

This film is a great addition to the franchise, and it is just as much fun as the other two. If you liked the other two films you will like this one, and maybe even more because they decided to do something different racing wise. In the end, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift is a really fun film, and you will enjoy it very much. My rating is that you need to see this if you have seen the other two. Fringe

This week I started rewatching a series I watched a few years ago that was just a really fun sci-fi show called Fringe. The series is about FBI agent Olivia Dunham and her team, and how they investigate events that make no sense. She has the help of Dr. Walter Bishop and his son Peter. Walter experimented on these strange events when he was younger, and they are now appearing all over the world. I really like this show because it keeps you on edge, and you never know what is going to happen next. If you are a fan of sci-fi you need to watch this show because this it is exactly what you think of when you think sci-fi.

The show stars: Anna Torv, who has been in films like Travelling Light and Love is Now, Joshua Jackson, who was in the TV series Dawson's Creek, Jasika Nicole, who has been in films like Take The Lead and She's Out of My League, John Noble, who has been in films like The Lord of the Rings and Running Scared, Lance Reddick, who has been in films like White House Down and The Guest, and Blair Brown, who has been in films like The Astronaut's Wife and Space Cowboys.

In the end, Fringe is a really fun series that any sci-fi fan will enjoy. It has great acting by all the actors, and superb special effects. I strongly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great ride that will keep you guessing every minute. My rating is that you should watch this as soon as you can if you are a sci-fi fan. The Imitation Game

I'm really sorry for not doing a review in a while, but I'm back and I will start doing this once a week again. To get back into the groove I'm going to review a really amazing film I saw this weekend which is, The Imitation Game. This movie is just plainly incredible, and everyone needs to see this film.

The movie is Alan Turing, a mathematician who created the first computer to break the enigma code during WWII. The enigma code was the code the Germans used to send their messages. Most people during that time thought the code was unbreakable, and you will just have to see the film to know what happens.

The film stars Benedict Cumberbatch, who is currently in the TV series Sherlock and has been in films like The Hobbit and Star Trek Into Darkness, Keira Knightley, who has been in films like Pirates of the Caribbean and King Arthur, Matthew Goode, who has been in films like A Single Man and Watchmen, and finally Mark Strong, who has been in films like Sherlock Holmes and Kick-Ass.

This film is by far one of the best of 2014, and you all need to see this film. You will be hooked from beginning to the end, and you just can't stop watching. In the end, The Imitation Game is a fantastic film, and you will not regret watching it. My rating is you need to see this as fast as humanly possible.
