The Boondock Saints

This review is on a movie that I believe became an instant classic. The film I am talking about is the film, The Boondock Saints. The Boondock Saints is plain and simple a great action film. It meets all the requirements: great action/violence/gore, the acting is superb, and most importantly it has a story that you can get into. The film is about two brothers who believe they are on a mission from God to kill the people who are evil, like the mob. The people who do bad things, and get off because they have a high priced lawyer.

The action scenes are really cool, but the other thing that separates this film from other action films, other than the story, is the comical moments. This clip is an example of one of those comical moments. I have to warn you that there is a lot of pervasive language, and I hope you don't love cats. I could be a really sick person, but I laugh every time I watch that scene and I can't help it. Not everyone will like that scene, and that is the only time they do that, but as you can see they aren't afraid on how far they push their film.

The acting is very good as well, and I expected that once I saw some of the actors in the film. Playing the two brothers are Sean Patrick Flanery, who has been in films like Powder and Saw The Final Chapter, and Norman Reedus, who is currently in the TV series The Walking Dead. You then have Willem Dafoe, who has been films like Spider-Man and Finding Nemo, and finally Billy Connolly, who has been in films Brave and The Last Samurai.

Now one of the most important aspects that make this film a classic is the story. It is such an interesting concept that I don't believe it has ever been done before. In the end, if you like really great R rated action films you will love this one. My rating is that most people should see this as soon as you can.
