Sicario: Day of the Soldado

I saw Sicario: Day of the Soldado recently, and it was really good. I liked the first one a little better, but this is a great sequel. Josh Brolin and Benicio Del Toro return for this one, and they are doing their assignment differently this time around. This time instead of just going after one person they are starting a war between two families within Mexico. Even though I like the first one a little more I still really like this one for a few reasons.

The main reason is Del Toro because this is his movie, and you aren't complaining about that one bit. This character was made for him, and you you can't help but want more every time he is on screen. You learn more about his family this time around, and it makes you more sympathetic for him this time. I really hope they make more of these because Del Toro is perfect, and I can't help but want more from his character. A few of the other reasons why I really liked this film is Brolin's character is just as enthralling as Del Toro, the action when it happens is well shot, and the story is just pure entertaining.

In the end, Sicario: Day of the Soldado isn't as good as the first film, but still really good. It is so good that you definitely need to see this as soon as possible, especially if you liked the first one. It's a really good sequel, and I hope enough see this one so they make a third. I want more in the series, and I hope we get more.
