I saw Passengers recently, and I had a lot of fun with it. This is a type of film where you with either like it or hate it. I liked it, but after seeing it I can understand others not enjoying it. It is a movie where you go into it knowing what you are going to get.
It doesn't do anything new in the sci-fi genre, but if you take the film for what it is you can have fun. You don't have to rush out and see this, but if you want to go to the movies, and just want a fun time this is the movie for you and a group of friends.
The acting was fine, and I thought the effects were really cool. You could wait to see this when it is released on DVD/Blu Ray, but I think a big screen did make this a little more enjoyable for me. In the end, I think you should give Passengers a chance if you are looking for a fun movie to see with friends.
